There are many ways to generate power into a beach volleyball spike. One hitting technique might not necessarily be better than another, and they could rather be looked as of different tools to be used in different situations.
In this video we take a look at what I call the "wrist snap technique", which is a technique that can give relatively quick success even for people that can't really hit prior to learning it, but can also be a very useful technique for more advanced players because of the ease it gives to have a high contact point as well as many different angles for hitting – with still having relatively powerful hits as well.
