This is the fourth year that the Learning & Development (L&D) Global Sentiment Survey has run. Each year the number of people responding to the survey grows, and as a result each year we develop a richer perspective on trends in our field. Superficially our question seems trivial: “What do you think will be hot in L&D this year?” Is this not simply a matter of opinion? How can it predict trends?
Yes, any individual answer is indeed just one person’s opinion. Together, however, opinions matter. They determine how people act, and the thinking behind them can be revealing, too...
