Nearpod, the South Florida education technology company founded in 2012, has signed an agreement to be acquired for about $650 million, according to media reports. The buyer is Renaissance Learning, a Wisconsin-based global provider of K-12 software and assessments. The acquisition news follows a year of explosive growth for Nearpod during the pandemic, building on a strong foundation of fast adoption and a string of successes in its earlier years.
